Maisha Z Johnson
... is a writer, blogger, activist, and trouble-maker who lives in Oakland, works in San Francisco, and plays all over the Bay. She holds an MFA in Poetry from Pacific University and a BA in creative writing from San Francisco State University. Maisha has been a featured reader at literary events and social justice rallies throughout the Bay area, including Queer Rebels of the Harlem Renaissance, LitQuake's Write On, and the inaugural Beast Crawl. By day, she supports LGBTQ community members in healing from and responding to violence, and by night, she writes about the relationship between writing and social change on her blog, Inkblot.

His writing has appeared in/on So Speak Up, Collective Fallout, Faggot Dinosaur, Dead Animal Handbook, The WISCon Chronicles vol. 2, Fantasy Magazine, Feminist SF - The Blog, io9.com and he has an essay in the forthcoming collection, Queers Dig Time Lords.
